Capacity Builidng and Networking
That is the second priority sector of the East Foundation work.
On the regional level there is a need for closer partners cooperation in order to ensure the mutual exchange of information, know-how & best practices. Our intention is to increase professionalism and operational capacity, promote joint planning and synergy of partners cooperation.
Therefore the East Foundation is focusing on following thematic issues:
• capacity building
• HIV/AIDS
• environmental protection
• migration (including GBV & anti-trafficking)
Project 2/COS/2013 - Churches against death penalty in respect of human rights in Belarus
Project is supporting campaign "Churches against death penalty" and focusing on public debate relating to human rights issue and the death penalty.
Project 3/COS/2013 - Involvement of elderly people in social activities
Project is focusing on creation of self-help/aid groups system for elderly, based on local parishes.
Project 4/COS/2013 - Environmental protection in rural development
The project intention is to: link ecologically focused church related organizations to each other on national level, include them to NGOs network in Belarus.
Project 5/COS/2013 - Organizational Development of organizations working against Gender Based Violence
Project implementation should increase sustainability of national and local service providers working on GBV (parish women groups and national coordination structure of Sisterhood Union).
