The East Foundation is very much involved in lobbing, advocacy and capacity building for rural development work in Eastern Europe & Caucasus. In 2012 the East Foundation staff were involved in few activities:

• co-organizing workshop on foreign development work in frames of 9th Gniezno Convention "Europe for Citizens. The role and place of Christians" Gniezno, Poland, March 16-18, 2012 (in cooperation with Polish Ecumenical Council)
• lobbing visit for ecological protection in development work in St. Petersburg, Russia, 30.08-02.09.2012 (in cooperation with Diaconia, St. Petersburg)
• development work for ex-prisoners adaptation 23-27.06.2012 (in cooperation with IM CSS, Belarus),
• the National Forum on Rural Development in Moldova, 15-16.05.2012
